My husband and I recently had our wedding at High Country Lodge, and it was truly the perfect intimate mountain setting for a bunch of flatlanders! The venue was beautiful and rustic (without being outdated), and Patrick and Petra were wonderful and gracious hosts. We had ~40 guests at the wedding and the lodge was the perfect size to host everyone comfortably. We had our ceremony outside in the meadow against the backdrop of some amazing views, had cocktail hour and our first dances on the deck and dinner in the surprisingly cavernous Alpine Room. The food all weekend was delicious and prepared for us by Patrick based on a menu we previously set. Our entire wedding party was able to stay with us at the lodge overnight, and we had a blast playing Yahtzee and pool in the game room the night before the ceremony. If you're looking for a place to host an intimate wedding in Breckenridge with a cozy feel while still delivering an elevated experience for your guests, I don't see how it could get better than High Country Lodge!

We recently had a retreat at the lodge. Gorgeous views from the back patios, day and night. The stars were amazing along with sunrise / sunset. Moose, foxes, hummingbirds among other critters. Short hike to a running creek. Bedrooms were great as we had a big group amd everyone was comfortable. Plenty of bathrooms and amenities. We had our own kitchen with 2 fridgerators and the owners Patrick and Petra have a separate chef kitchen that they cooked us breakfast and lunch in every day. The were very accommodating as to our special diet restrictions for the group. Clean hot tub was a plus as well. Would definitely recommend for a group or family gathering. Will be back next year for sure.

We booked this for my daughter's wedding. Patrick was an absolute JOY to work with, the house was perfect, the food was DELICIOUS, he provided breakfast, lunch and dinner on the wedding day for our party. I could not have asked for a better venue, hosts or food. It was AMAZING. He is very customer focused.

WONDERFUL place for a wedding. Gorgeous views, clean mountain air and some 20 bedrooms for our friends to stay put and enjoy the 3-day festivities. Patrick was very accommodating with planning the menu for the wedding and a farewell breakfast but we brought tons of food and beverages to keep everyone happy for the three days. Highly recommend.

We stayed at High Country Lodge in Breckenridge for a friend’s Celebration of Life, and it ended up being the perfect place for a really meaningful weekend. The lodge is historic, super charming, and set on a beautiful mountain property that feels peaceful and private. The family/owners were incredibly kind and genuinely hospitable—you can tell this place means a lot to them. They took great care of our group, which ranged from about 10–25 people (with a lot of kids)--plus a large event--and it felt easy and comfortable the whole time. Very kid-friendly. Also, Patrick is a really talented chef and catered meals throughout the weekend—everything was delicious and made such a difference for our group. It’s a large space that works really well for gatherings, but still feels cozy and personal. Just an all-around special place. Highly recommend for groups, especially families. Thanks for hosting us Patrick & Petra!

We had the pleasure of staying at Patrick and Petra’s place High Country Lodge from Dec 26, 2025 through the 2026 New Year. It was amazing.The property and views are incredible. Patrick and Petra are THE BEST HOSTS. Whatever you need, all you have to do is ask. They’re locals so they know everyone and everything in the Breckenridge area. A true, picture perfect classic ski lodge that you will never forget. Cheers to Patrick and Petra for a wonderful time at your amazing property. Thank you. We’ll be back.

The High Country Lodge was an incredible stay for our group of 25. We had our annual Board of Directors meeting and it was a great spot to fit everyone comfortably, as well as build relationships in the lodge. Patrick and Petra hosted us with excellent service, delicious food and a warm family-like hospitality. I couldn't recommend this place more for a big group!
